Calling ALL Twin Cities Dancers and Dance Families!
Twin Cities School of Dance (TCSD) is again a community entrant for this year’s Illinois State University (ISU) Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Sept. 28!
Want to walk with us in the parade?
All TCSD dancers and dance families are invited to walk the parade route with us!
Sign-up here to walk with us
(by Wednesday, Sept. 25)
All participants should plan to arrive on campus on Parade Saturday (9/28) by 9:30 a.m. and meet in front of Thomas Metcalf School on S. University St., with the parade stepping-off at 10:00 a.m.
- All ages/all family members welcome! (We especially ask parents of younger dancers to also sign-up to walk with them.)
- Walkers will accompany our Claras, Snow Queens, and Nutcracker cast members (who will be riding in vehicles).
- Wear any TCSD, Nutcracker, or dance attire. (But, watch the weather!)
*Candy: Please also consider donating an extra bag of candy to share with our dancers to pass out to parade watchers. (Candy can be dropped-off at the studio anytime, ordered online, or brought to the parade.) Adult walkers will also be provided promotional postcards with Nutcracker and TCSD info to hand out to parade spectators
*Classes/Rehearsals: At this time, all Saturday classes/rehearsals on Sept. 28, will be held as scheduled. Parade participants will be excused and can attend any in-progress or remaining sessions after the parade. (Note: There should be no time-conflicts with this year’s Nutcracker Auditions for Party Girls and Bon Bons scheduled for that Saturday afternoon.)
Want to experience the parade and support TCSD in other ways?
- Watch the parade live from the sidewalks along the parade route and cheer on our participants.
- The parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of College Avenue and University Street.
- Can't make it to the parade? Watch it live on the Illinois State University YouTube channel!
