As of March 8, 2022, the Twin Cities School of Dance (TCSD) Board of Directors has approved the following health and safety protocols until further notice.

Updated Protocols

  • Masks are now recommended but optional in-studio for all dancers.
  • Masks are now recommended but optional in-studio for all TCSD staff.
  • Patrons can be in-studio for essential reasons, such as assisting younger dancers, drop-off/pick-up of younger dancers, visiting the store, etc.
    • Masks are recommended but optional in-studio for all visitors.
    • Visitors should use discretion with time in-studio, limit the number in their party, and social distance where possible.

Continued Protocols

  • All TCSD staff and teachers have been asked to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or tested weekly.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at the front door and throughout the studio.
  • TCSD staff will continue to promote social distancing where possible.
  • Dancers who have time between their classes may stay in-studio between classes. (Note: Non-messy snacks and water are preferred for breaks.)
  • Zoom will continue to be available for all classes to provide a virtual option as needed by students unable to attend in-person.
    • Note: Dancers will need to inform the studio and request a Zoom link before their class begins.

Travel Policy

In addition, we ask that you abide by our current Travel Policy*:

  • Commercial Travel (Domestic or International): If a dancer travels via commercial air/bus/cruise ship:
    • If they are fully-vaccinated, they can return to the studio upon return unless experiencing symptoms.
    • If they are not fully-vaccinated, they will need to:
      • Get tested with a viral test 3-5 days after returning from travel.
      • Stay home and self-quarantine for a full 5 days after travel.

*TCSD Travel Policy was last updated 3/08/2022 per CDC recommendations and is subject to change based on evolving pandemic conditions and/or federal, state, or local guidelines.

Note: TCSD reserves the right to discuss planned or known travel with dancers, staff, and families to help determine the best course of action to keep everyone safe.

General Reminders

  • Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms; isolate and get tested if you develop symptoms.
  • If anyone tests positive for COVID-19, they must contact the studio for quarantine requirements and receive a return date by the TCSD Board.
  • If a dancer or anyone in their family has these symptoms, we ask you to follow the proper guidance, stay home, and notify the studio.
  • If there is ever a positive COVID-19 case within the studio, we will conduct or initiate proper contact tracing and be in direct communication with families of any dancers considered to be “close contacts”.
